Proposed MSP Rules open for comment:
The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking public comment on the proposed updates to Chapter 5160-35 of the Administrative Code until May 20, 2025.
The proposed updates to the Medicaid School Program (MSP) rule package:
- Allow for more flexibility in documenting medical necessity, including 504 plans and a School Services Plan of Care;
- Include additional physical and behavioral health services that can be reimbursed when provided by a school;
- Include preventative health services reimbursement for all students enrolled in Medicaid when provided by a school.
